Training
Membership Fees: Prospective Adult Members: All prospective adult students that are new to Aikido are required to observe two classes. After observing two classes, prospective students may be invited to participate in a few classes. Please call ahead of time for details. A dogi (uniform) is not required until you have gone through the Beginners Course. Prospective Junior Members: I strongly encourage the parents of prospective junior students to come in and observe a class or two that their child may participate in. Feel free to call ahead with any questions before class. As with Adult students, dogi (uniform) is not required until you have gone through the Beginners Course.Visitors: Students from all Aikido affiliations are welcome! Please call in advance for directions and class schedule. A nominal tithe/mat fee ($10+) is appreciated. We also offer special rates for groups/families, please call for details. 2010 Summer Training Schedule & Office Hours (effective 7/19/10):Office hours: the dojo is open from 5:30pm to 8pm, Mondays & Wednesdays, 4pm to 8pm Tuesdays & Thursdays Juniors (ages 5-13): Tuesdays & Thursdays 5pm-5:50pm Juniors (ages 5-8): Tuesdays & Thursdays 5pm-5:50pm Adult Evening Classes: Mondays through Thursdays 6:15pm-7:30pm Weapons Class: Saturday Morning 10am-11am, bring sensible shoes and be prepared to work outside The Saturday Class will focus on buki (weapons techniques). Juniors that are ranked 5th kyu (Blue Belt) and above are encouraged to attend. If you have your own boken or jo, please bring them to this class.
Snow Policy: If there is more than a foot of snow projected overnight, please call the dojo to confirm classes will be happening. If there is a snow day for LTUSD, there will definitely be no classes. The snow line for LTUSD 530-541-4636. |
